Preconference activity you can’t afford to miss
Each year at TLC, Blackboard host a number of preconference workshops to which you can attend. This year there will be two free of charge workshops for you to join; eTeacher and Academic Adoption.
The first of our free preconference workshops “An introduction to eTeacher: Helping academics reach their full potential”, will give you an overview of the fundamentals of digital teaching and learning, an insight into digital teaching and learning in practice and a greater understanding of excellence in digital teaching and learning to drive student success at your institution.
Today’s learners have high expectations for their academic experience. They desire a high quality, engaging teaching and learning experience – an experience that is modern, flexible, and prepares them for success. And with technology playing a large part in their everyday lives, students expect their learning journey to be enhanced by technology.
This means that institutions and academic staff must be prepared with the right skills and competencies to effectively use technology in their teaching and learning approach. This is why we offer the Blackboard Digital Teaching and Learning Certification Series – Setting the Standard for Quality, Teaching Excellence, and a Better Student Experience.
The second of our free workshops, Academic Adoption Day, will give you the opportunity to experience, explore, engage and evaluate key pedagogical practices including gamification, personalised learning and blended approaches. You will:
- Experience a gamified course that blends people, places and technology
- Explore and unpack implementation approaches
- Engage with technologies and build practical examples
- Evaluate varying innovations to gamified and blended learning
These sessions will be highly interactive and engaging. This will give you an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from across EMEA and beyond and immerse yourself in gamification, blended learning, technology and spaces
